About our speaker:

Gary Garvey has worked with hundreds of small, medium and large companies over the past 12 years to implement successful direct mail marketing strategies that bring measurable results. His presentation will focus on the latest trends and developments in direct mail marketing, including variable-data messages and distribution methods.

Gary was introduced to database marketing and direct mail marketing when the Houston Chronicle asked him to launch a full-service direct mail advertising department within the newspaper. He has worked as a consultant and has spoken at numerous direct mail, newspaper and shared mail advertising conventions and training meetings. He has consulted with newspapers across the country on implementing direct marketing strategies and developing direct mail advertising departments.

Gary has been an advertising director and an advertising manager for the Rocky Mountain News, the San Francisco Chronicle and San Francisco Examiner, and a general manager with Cox Communications.  He has earned a master's degree in direct marketing from the University of Missouri in Kansas City.
Currently, Gary is Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for National Mail-It, Inc. National Mail-It is headquartered in Shreveport, Louisiana, and has a sales office in Lake Charles.
